    What is a POS Application

    A POS application is a program that offers cash register functions without the need for the terminal to be connected to a physical cash register. The terminal operator can use the app to enter e.g. the type of goods, quantity, price, or apply a discount (or use other features provided by the specific application). During the payment itself, the POS app connects to the pre-installed payment application on the terminal (Switchio Pay), through which the payment is processed.

    Supported POS Applications

    Nexgo payment terminals support the following POS applications:

    • Colosseum Portable – an application of the Colosseum reservation system. (On Nexgo N5 Move terminals, you can also use the additional Colosseum Scanner app for reading QR codes and barcode tickets.)

    • mKasa – an application of the Pohoda cash register system

    • Piccolo

    Activating the Application

    If you want to use a POS application on your Nexgo terminal, please mention it when signing the contract. Existing clients can contact our customer support, which will activate the application in our system. The application will be installed on the terminal automatically. If not, download the terminal configuration or install the app via Switchio Store (pre-installed on your Nexgo terminal).
