Saving Card Details

This feature applies exclusively to the card payment method. When using it, the customer does not need to write the card data to the payment gateway for further purchases in the same e-shop. It is advisable to offer the memorization of card data in case customers make regular purchases in the e-shop.  The time and amount of purchase are variable.

Payment from the payer's perspective

The customer agrees before payment in the e-shop that you can remember (save) their card. He/she then makes the first payment in the usual way, filling in all the payment card data in the payment gateway. With each subsequent purchase, he already has the card details saved in the e-shop and just clicks the Pay button. The redirection to the payment gateway no longer takes place.

Activation of the feature

In the first step, you register the customer using the registration. The customer logs in to the e-shop environment using a name and password. The storage of card data is subject to the terms and conditions of the card associations VISA and Mastercard, so it is necessary to obtain the customer's consent before the first payment. We recommend creating a checkbox for this purpose. In order to enable the card memorization feature, the e-shop needs to make minor modifications to the integration.
