    Article summary

    To ensure the terminal functions correctly, it must have the latest software version installed. Updates for the terminal occur automatically; in some cases, a manual update is required.  

    Current Software Version

    The current version of the Switchio Pay app is 4.3.3.  

    You can find the current version information on your terminal by going to Settings (gear icon) → Apps → Switchio Pay. The version number may be higher than stated above, as terminal updates are rolled out gradually, and your terminal may have already updated to a newer version. If the Switchio Pay app version is lower than indicated above, perform a manual update to ensure the terminal functions properly.  

    Internet Connection

    The terminal must remain connected to the internet (via Wi-Fi, SIM, or Ethernet cable) throughout the installation for the update to complete successfully.

    Automatic Update

    Automatic updates occur in the background, with a notification in the terminal's notification bar indicating the Switchio Pay app update and its completion.  

    Manual Update

    To manually update, you must first exit the Switchio Pay app on the terminal and clear its data:  

    1. Perform a total.

    2. On the terminal's home screen, click on Settings (gear icon).

    3. In Settings, go to the Apps tab.

    4. In the Apps tab, go to Switchio Pay.

    5. Click on Force Stop.

    6. In the same menu, click on the Storage tab.

    7. In Storage, click on Clear Data and confirm by clicking OK.  

    Then, exit and clear data for the Switchio Store app. If you are doing this right after clearing Switchio Pay data, you can simply return to the Apps menu using the back arrow.  

    1. On the terminal's home screen, click on Settings (gear icon).

    2. In Settings, go to the Apps tab.

    3. In the Apps tab, go to Switchio Store.

    4. Click on Force Stop.

    5. In the same menu, click on the Storage tab.

    6. In Storage, click on Clear Data and confirm by clicking OK.  

    After closing and clearing data for both apps, you can update the Switchio Pay app:  

    1. On the terminal's home screen, click on the Switchio Store app.

    2. Ensure you are on the Available tab.

    3. Click on the Paya tab.

    4. In the Paya tab, click on Update.

    This will update the Switchio Pay app, and you can start using it again.
