    Testing the Connection Between the Cash Register and the Terminal

    If your terminal is connected to a cash register system but the payment prompt does not appear on the terminal, test the communication between the terminal and the cash register.

    A Demo application is available to test the communication. It simulates the behavior of a cash register system.

    Testing procedure

    Note: The terminal and the computer must be connected to the same local network.

    1. Open the Demo application in the Firefox browser (not Chrome, Opera, etc.).

    2. Check that the Demo application URL is in the http format (not https), i.e.:
      http://demo.cashdesk.switchio.com/#/.

    3. To log in, enter the IP address and port number that you can find on the terminal in the Dashboard tab in the GSA server section.


    4. Enter the password: 27924505.

    The Demo application reports that the IP address does not exist

    • Check that you followed the instructions exactly.

    Communication in the Demo application works correctly

    • If the Demo application reports that everything is working correctly, the issue is not on the terminal side but on the cash register side. Contact the developer of your cash register system.
